Women’s History Month is a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to history. The large majority of ancient cultures were patriarchal, and they practiced customs that held women in low esteem and limited their freedom. Through the centuries, many courageous women have stepped forward to fight inequality and to champion causes for the benefit of society. Their work to break down barriers has allowed future generations of women to pass through without resistance.
Women’s History Month honours these women.
To understand how we got where we are today, it’s important to remember the women that paved the way. So throughout the month of March, we'll be showcasing stories of women that have stepped forward for equality and broken down barriers for future generations, and continue to inspire us. We'll be sharing resources, insights, and stats and also focusing on women who inspire us.
Celebrating Women’s History Month once a year is a good start, but we hope to spark a larger conversation for a more inclusive society.
Inspirational Women
One resource which we love is our Inspirational Women resource, honouring the many courageous women who stepped forward to fight inequality and to champion causes for the benefit of society. Their work to break down barriers has allowed future generations of women to pass through without (as much) resistance.
One thing that has stayed constant is the sheer number of awe-inspiring women that exist all over the world. Some are feminist mainstays, some are relative unknowns and some are controversial – but they all changed the world.

Business Resources For Women
Most women business owners agree that networking, training, and community are all keys to success. Although there are many general resources available to business owners, not all are specific to women and the unique issues that they face. Even though general resources can still be helpful, it’s important to have information that’s tailored specifically to women.
One of the best things about these resources is that they connect women business owners who are at varying stages in their careers. Sometimes the most valuable resource of all is to know that there are other women out there who face the same obstacles, have the same questions, and who are going through the same struggles as you are.
Whether you’re starting your business or have been in your industry for years, it’s important to take time to network with other women, seek out resources that are tailored to you, and search for opportunities that are specific to women in business. You might be surprised by how much this helps your business grow!
Powerful Female Voices - Podcasts
While International Women's Day is rooted in activism and advancing equality, there isn't any one "correct" way to celebrate it. In fact, sometimes one of the most important things you can do is educate yourself.
And if you don't know where to start, there are plenty of podcasts that'll teach you the women's history you didn't learn in school.

Inspirational Women ResourceWomen Who Inspire Us
We all find a way to get through the tough days, the rough patches, the I’m-not-doing-great-today days. And when we’re taking care of ourselves as we try to build the world we want to live in, we need something to ground us.
For Women's History Month we’re reflecting as a team about the women who inspire us to keep going, try harder, and push through.
Because that’s what we need; people who inspire us to be better than we are today, people who show us through their actions that not only can we make a difference, but that we can make this world a different and better place.
