Role: Jack of ALL trades

Got a problem? Let’s fix it!

I'm definitely a solutions focused person, so when something isn't right or needs a bit of tweaking, I'm your girl.

I’ve got a bit of a knack for solving problems and love a good techy challenge. I have an eye for design and website functionality, but always with the user experience in mind.

What’s the best part about your job?
I love all the clients I get to work with, and feel like I am part of their team. It's awesome to share their successes, see their businesses grow and know that you have been part of the process.

What’s your typical day?
Step 1 - COFFEE. We always joke that you shouldn't talk to me before I've had at least one! I plan my day to always include some form of exercise - running /biking etc depending on what I'm training for at the time. After 5pm is chill time, hanging with friends or watching some Netflix.

What’s your career highlight?
I had the pleasure of working for EziBuy for 7 years, and loved my role as the National Operations Manager.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Honestly, I'm not sure right now. I believe in fate - living in the moment.

What advice would you give someone starting in the industry?
Always think about what your end customer wants and be willing to adapt regularly. You need to be ready to move with technology and be open to new ways of doing things constantly. The only thing constant is change.

What do you love most about Autumn?
I love the cooler weather! The changing of the trees from green to orange. It also signals the start of a lot of fun running events on the calendar. They are a bit lean this year, but hopefully things will get back to normal soon.

What do you love most about Winter?
Frosty mornings followed by sunshine, those are the best Winter days. I don't mind the cold, but prefer for it not to be damp and windy (pretty hard in Palmerston North!). This year I've been loving tramping, there's something awesome about being out in the elements and enjoying our country in all seasons.

What you’ll be wearing this season?
Jeans and warm sweaters! Love a good cosy slipper. But if I'm honest, I'll be mainly in my activewear ;)

What you love most about Christmas?
Everything! I like to start my Christmas in November. There's just something about having the tree up. I don't always get to head home to family, but it's nice enjoying the long Summer days and a bit of chill time.

What are you hoping will be under the tree this Christmas?
It's a wee way out, but anything that will contribute to adventures.

Do you make New Year’s Resolutions?
Not specifically, but it's nice to reflect on all the things I'm grateful for in my life, and set some plans and goals.

What do you want to achieve in 2020?
Living life to the fullest! I've been saying yes to a lot more adventures lately and it's fun learning new skills and seeing what I am capable of.

Last book you read?
The Strangers We Know by Pip Drysdale - was a good psychological thriller type.

Next book you have to read?
I'll know when I find it

Favourite film?
Into the Wild, Forrest Gump, 10 Things I Hate About You - I have quite diverse taste!

Favourite TV/Netflix show?
At the moment Marcella, Dynasty, The Killing. I enjoy a good crime drama.

You never leave home without?
My phone, but mainly for the camera to capture those life moments!

Artist that sparks your imagination?
Abbey Merson

Your biggest inspiration?
I'm inspired by people who are authentic, not afraid to take risks and are up for adventure.

Song you have on repeat?
A friend introduced me to Ziggy Alberts anything by him is on repeat at the moment.

Cats or Dogs?
CATS!

Wish you could do?
Travel the world!

You’re passionate about?
Family & Friends, Running, Tramping, Coffee, Cats, Wine

Mantra you live by?
Do it with passion or not at all. Be your authentic self and live with no regrets.

What’s a moment that has stuck with you and changed your thinking?
I've been recently doing a lot of adventures (tramping running etc) which has changed the way I view life. I love the independence, and the challenge of problem solving and the sense of achievement that comes with doing things you didn’t think were possible.

Can’t live without?
My cat Mittens. Coffee. Wine. My phone (camera)

Minimalist or Maximalist?
I used to be a maximalist, but now only the essentials (except when it comes to my tramping kit ....)

Most Treasured item?
At the moment it's my tramping kit - I have just brought a new pair of boots and it's the most exciting thing because they signal adventure, connection to nature, feeling alive and pushing the limits of what I'm capable of.
